Paul R. Maxfield, JD, MBA, BSBM

Paul Maxfield is an attorney with over a decade of experience practicing estate planning law. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix (2004), as well as a Juris Doctor Degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU (2010), and a Masters in Business Administration from Western Governors University (2015).

Paul married his sweetheart Candy Maxfield and they have one child, Fisher Maxfield. His family is his entire world. Paul loves to garden, travel, and explore with his family.

Previous Experience:

Paul Maxfield served as the 2015 President of the Utah Valley Estate Planning Council, an organization of professionals who provide services relating to Estate Planning. Paul taught as a licensed instructor for real estate licensee continuing education classes teaching on topics such as Estate Planning, Business Organizations, and 1031 Exchanges.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Paul held several business positions which consisted primarily of management and leadership roles as well as accounting and bookkeeping positions. Paul also served as CFO and Compliance Officer for both a logistics company and a registered investment advisor firm.

Community Service, Political Involvement, and Other Activities:

Paul served in several volunteer positions including President of the NWA School Land Trust Committee, Precinct Chair, Precinct Vice-Chair, County Delegate, Missionary, member of a committee to elect a candidate to the Utah State Legislature, Vice President of the Real Estate Law Club in law school, Boy Scout Leader, and Sunday School Teacher. He currently serves as Ward Executive Secretary in his church.

Maureen Tanner

Maureen Tanner is Paul’s mother-in-law. She currently serves as the Legal Assistant for Maxfield Law. Maureen has extensive experience in government and charitable organizations prior to her service with us. Maureen became a widow within the past few years and thus understands the importance of planning for the future.

Community Service and Other Activities

Maureen recently completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoys serving in the temple whenever she can. She has also worked with organizations that provide assistance for people in lower incomes.

Other Interests

Maureen loves her family very much and has a large posterity. She recently became a great-grandmother. She enjoys family get togethers and family outings. Maureen also loves spending time with her siblings and siblings-in-law.

Maureen loves to travel and take cruises. Some of her favorite places to visit have been Europe, California, and Mexico.
